Miri has learned not to bother Mother Hana while Hana is grooming, but Father Maru is a fair target at all times. During a pause in the middle of the battle, Maru just looked around calmly, not really taking Miri seriously. He did fold his ears back when she attacked near his head, but I suspect he rarely if ever uses his claws (while Miri might use her tiny ones). So in my opinion, Maru is for playing with, Hana is the teacher :) .
I’m convinced that at 0:50, Hana was pointing the treat out to Miri. It was the lightest of taps. I think whe wanted the treat at first, but then some motherly instinct kicked in.

Upside down Miri provokes from afar but only with Hana. She jumped on top of Maru and tried to play behind the cover of the sofa. Using box as armor when fighting Maru. He takes gentle little bites to the protruding white paws. He seems to say if you don’t behave I will sit on top of you. Still curious to find out about the sleeping arrangements between the three of them ? Will we see a cat pile anytime soon or is it still splendid isolation each one in their own castle ?
